These are the dates and reminders we keep on the shop counter, so you don't have to.
2nd Saturday in June — California Adopt-a-Pet Day
Fee-waived adoptions statewide. The Tri-City shelter usually runs its own event alongside it.
Summer — heat safety
Paws, walks and water. If the pavement is too hot for the back of your hand for seven seconds, it is too hot for a dog's pads. Walk early or late.
Fall — senior pet wellness check season
A good time for the annual vet visit, and the point in the year when we see most owners switch an older dog onto a senior formula.
